Through the Inclusion II Project, the Center for Community Health Research and Development (CCRD) and its implementing partner, The International Center (IC), have supported the development of multidisciplinary rehabilitation in Binh Dinh Province. The project has collaborated with the Binh Dinh Department of Health, the Binh Dinh Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital, and other relevant stakeholders to develop practical guidelines for multidisciplinary rehabilitation and pilot the approach at four facilities across the province.
The involvement of multiple specialists—including doctors and rehabilitation technicians—in providing coordinated care for each patient, together with a patient-centered approach, has led to noticeable improvements in the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities. Binh Dinh has become one of the first provinces in the country to adopt the multidisciplinary rehabilitation approach—an advanced rehabilitation model widely recognized worldwide. Support from the project has laid the foundation for Binh Dinh to scale up this model across the province further.
