Project overview:
The project aims to develop a sustainable model for protecting a clean environment and keeping a green ecosystem in a fast-growing coastal and marine tourist place of Ly Son District, Quang Ngai province, Vietnam, through good management of the marine debris, especially the solid wastes.
To materialize this goal, the following objectives will be achieved:
- Improve the behavior of local people, businesses, and tourists in solid waste collection and sorting;
- Enhance the capacity of effective policy enforcement and multi-sector collaborative mechanisms for solid waste management for a sustainable, clean environment and socio-economic development.
The Project’s concrete objectives are:
- Improved behavior of the local people, business sector, and tourists in waste/solid waste collection and treatment;
- Enhanced self-efficacy of the local actors in waste management through capacity building and multi-sector coordination.
