On the occasion of the World AIDS Day 2024, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms Penny Wong, announced DFAT’s AUD3 million partnership with the Center for Community Health Research and Development (CCRD) to ends AIDS and TB in Vietnam and Laos.
This partnership aims to reach and support people at risks of HIV and TB in remote areas of Vietnam and Laos to access quality gender- and disability-responsive and inclusive services, as well as create an enabling environment for their meaningful participation in controlling the two diseases.
It also marks a milestone in CCRD’s continuous growth in the last two decades as for the first time the organization became the lead of an intercountry consortium for health interventions.
CCRD sincerely thanks our consortium partners, Lighthouse Enterprise (Vietnam) and Community Health and Inclusion Association – CHIAs (Lao PDR), for your collaboration and hope that our collective efforts will substantially contribute to end AIDS and TB in both countries by 2030.
