Community Development

CCRD has experience in community development and community-based programming, with a strong focus on empowering vulnerable populations and strengthening local systems to achieve sustainable health and social outcomes. We have designed and implemented interventions in remote, mountainous, and underserved areas, targeting ethnic minority communities, women, youth, and populations at higher risk of HIV and other health vulnerabilities.

CCRD applies participatory, inclusive, and appropriate approaches that actively engage community members, local leaders, and organizations throughout the project cycle. Interventions are grounded in local evidence and social context, ensuring relevance and effectiveness while promoting community ownership and long-term sustainability. Key areas of community development work include maternal and child health promotion, HIV prevention and care, stigma and discrimination reduction, gender equality, and behavior change for healthier practices.

Through close collaboration with provincial authorities, health systems, and community-based organizations, CCRD has supported the establishment and strengthening of community service delivery models, referral mechanisms, and advocacy platforms. These efforts have contributed to improved access to essential services, enhanced community participation in local decision-making, and stronger linkages between communities and public institutions, thereby reinforcing resilience and social cohesion at the local level.
