Project overview:
The project aims to improve local technical knowledge and capacity to develop and monitor evidence-based plans that promote effective environmental governance. To achieve this objective, the project will enhance the environmental governance issues understanding in two targeted provinces amongst communities, authorities, civil society, and media. Furthermore, we will increase the skills of local actors to assess and monitor environmental governance challenges from an evidence-based perspective. The second goal is to support and amplify locally-driven initiatives to promote public participation and awareness of environmental policies and plans. At the same time, the project will promote locally driven initiatives to raise public awareness and encourage active participation in environmental policies and planning. Through increased community engagement and knowledge sharing on best practices, the project seeks to contribute to more transparent, participatory, and responsive environmental governance systems.
